Summary: Nice idea, but poor design
Comment: OK, so your not going to save the planet with this device, but every little helps doesn't it? I bought this to replace my old halogen bulb security light and expected to trade brightness for a more environmentally friendly way of providing a little light after dark. What I didn't expect was a design for a security light that requires you to keep it out of the rain! Something like this should be built for the outdoors, but the battery compartment will let in rain very easily. I'll persevere, but have now taped up the battery draw to keep the weather out. Other than that it's pretty flimsy and the illumination is very weak. Still, seeing as I don't want to use mains electricty, I'll have to put up with this. My advice is look for a solar powered light designed for outdoor use!
