Customer Rating: Summary: Faulty machine? Comment: I bought this machine in the hope that the rats would be killed and my house would be safe - given that I have a 5 months infant. However, after weeks of waiting, I notice that the bait is gone and the rat droppings are still very much visible. I read other reviews and realized that middle plate is the one that emits shock. Decided to test the machine myself, with a bit of hesitation, touched the plate nearest to the open end first, nothing, no shock. Kept my hand there for a few seconds, still no shock. Got brave and touched the middle plate, even kept my hand on it for long time, still no shock. The machine does turn on by showing a green light and a distinct hum as well. Am gonna read the returns section and send it back to Amazon now.
Customer Rating: Summary: It Works! Comment: What more can you say? Ok the batteries are a pain to fit but when you eventually do it works a treat.
You can rid yourselves of the problem in a humane way and no mess so you don't have to come down to a decapitated body in the morning.
I was dubious at first but out of desperation had to get this device as we are plagued with mice.
Great stuff!
Customer Rating: Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS DEVICE!!!!!!!!!!!! Comment: I bought one and after leaving it on for one week it stopped working. It costs £6 to fill it up with batteries. I thought it has used all the battery life in one week so i bought more batteries but the device had short circuited or something. So i returned it via Amazon (who have a very effective return process) and had another one delivered. I put my new batteries in the new device and this one did not even turn on! What a complete waste of time and money.
Customer Rating: Summary: Cowards! Comment: What a vile and cowardly race the human is! To kill any living creature that gets near to them!
RESPECT LIFE!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Works for rats!! Comment: Most of the reviews for this product seemed to be about mice, so if you are looking for a good rat trap here it is!
I thought that we would try this as we had a persistent problem with rats in our out house. We have baited the trap with chocolate buttons and had three kills in three nights. The rats have been very large, filling the trap but it has been powerful enough to do the job.
The trap has done a better job than using poison, and also there is no need to touch the rat, it just tips into a bin bag.
